สุขสันต์วันตระหนักรู้ถึงการมีตัวตนของคนอินเตอร์เซ็กส์ (Intersex Awareness Day) และสุขสันต์วันครบรอบ 4 ปี Intersex Thailand!
ในโอกาสสำคัญนี้ ทีมงาน Intersex Thailand กำลังจัดประชุม “Intersex Thailand: 4th Anniversary & WFA Project Kick-off Meeting” ที่จังหวัดเชียงราย (26-27 ตุลาคม) เพื่อเริ่มต้นบทใหม่ในการทำงานของเรา
นี่คือ “ก้าวเล็กๆ สู่รากฐานที่ยิ่งใหญ่” ค่ะ
เรากำลังเริ่มต้นโครงการระยะ 3 ปี ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก Equality Collaboration Fund โครงการนี้คือหัวใจสำคัญในการสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้องค์กรของเรา โดยมีเป้าหมายที่ชัดเจนคือ “การจดทะเบียนจัดตั้งเป็นมูลนิธิ (Foundation) ให้สำเร็จ”
ใน 3 ปีนี้ เราจะสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยั่งยืนเพื่อคนอินเตอร์เซ็กส์ใน 3 ด้านหลัก:
1. ด้านสุขภาพ (Health): เราจะยุติความรุนแรงทางการแพทย์ โดยร่วมมือกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญเพื่อพัฒนา “แนวทางเวชปฏิบัติที่เคารพสิทธิอินเตอร์เซ็กส์” ฉบับแรกของประเทศไทย เพื่อยุติการผ่าตัดกำหนดเพศทารกและเด็กอินเตอร์เซ็กส์โดยไม่จำเป็นและไม่ได้รับความยินยอม ตลอดจนการบริการสุขภาพที่จำเป็นสำหรับบุคคลอินเตอร์เซ็กส์ทุกช่วงวัย
2. ด้านการศึกษา (Education): เราจะสร้างความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องในสังคม โดยผลักดันให้มีการผนวกเรื่องราวและตัวตนของคนอินเตอร์เซ็กส์เข้าไป “มากกว่าแค่หลักสูตรเพศวิถีศึกษา” และสร้างคู่มือสำหรับครูและนักการศึกษา ให้สามารถมี “กระบวนการจัดการเรียนการสอน และกิจกรรมในสถานศึกษา” ครอบคลุมการสร้างความตระหนักรู้และยอมรับบุคคลอินเตอร์เซ็กส์ได้อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
3. ด้านกฎหมายและนโยบาย (Law & Policy): เราจะผลักดันการปฏิรูปกฎหมาย โดยเฉพาะการสนับสนุน “พ.ร.บ. การรับรองเพศสภาพ (Gender Recognition Act and Sex Characteristics Protection)” ให้ครอบคลุมการรับรองตัวตนของคนอินเตอร์เซ็กส์ และสร้างหลักประกันว่าเสียงของเราจะถูกรับฟังในกระบวนการนโยบายระดับชาติและ “ถูกกำหนดเป็นบทบัญญัติในระบบกฎหมายไทย”
การทำงานทั้งหมดนี้จะขับเคลื่อนผ่าน “เครือข่าย InterRight Thailand Network” ซึ่งเป็นการรวมพลังของแพทย์ นักการศึกษา นักกฎหมาย และพันธมิตร

Happy Intersex Awareness Day, and a very happy 4th Anniversary to Intersex Thailand!
To mark this special occasion, our team is holding the “Intersex Thailand: 4th Anniversary & WFA Project Kick-off Meeting” in Chiang Rai (26-27 Oct) to kick off an exciting new chapter.
This is our “small step towards a strong foundation.”
We are launching a major 3-year project, supported by the Equality Collaboration Fund. This project is crucial for strengthening our organisational groundwork with a clear and vital goal: “to successfully register Intersex Thailand as a legal Foundation”.
Over the next 3 years, we will focus on creating lasting change for intersex people across three key areas:
1. Health: We will work to end medical violence by co-developing “Thailand’s first intersex-affirming healthcare guideline”. Our aim is to stop unnecessary and non-consensual surgeries on intersex infants and children, as well as to ensure “necessary health services for intersex people of all ages”.
2. Education: We will build correct understanding in society by pushing for the integration of intersex realities “beyond just the sex education curriculum”. We will create toolkits for educators, enabling them to implement “teaching processes and school activities” that “concretely build awareness and acceptance” of intersex people.
3. Law & Policy: We will drive legal reform, especially supporting a “Gender Recognition Act and Sex Characteristics Protection” law, to ensure it covers intersex identities. We will secure that our voices are heard in national policy processes and are “codified as provisions within the Thai legal system”.
This work will be driven by the “InterRight Thailand Network”, a multi-stakeholder taskforce of medical professionals, educators, legal experts, and allies.
